Medical Peel

The Austin Aesthetics Medical Peel improves and smooths facial skin that shows signs of wrinkles, fine lines, uneven pigmentation, shallow acne scars, age spots, freckling, and sun-damaged skin.

Our Medical Peel rapidly removes the damaged layer of dead cells from your skins surface. This action stimulates health growth of new skin cells, reveals fresh undamaged underlying skin, and results in a healthier appearance.

Mild to medical depth peels are offered. Also Photodynamic therapy with Aminolevulinic acid treatments.

Why Peels?

When skin is stimulated, it creates growth. So when the old layer of skin is removed, a vibrant, smooth and youthful skin tone remains. The peel tightens pores, removes and prevents lines and wrinkles and takes off layers of weathered, discolored skin to reveal fresh new skin. With your new look, comes a feeling of pride and self-esteem. It can restore a soft, supple complexion by renewing collagen and elastin, eliminating wrinkles, reducing pores, removing scars and blending uneven skin tone.

Beautiful, healthy skin:

One of the best things you can do to keep your skin looking healthy and fresh is to get rid of dead skin cells. This will dramatically speed up your own body’s natural healing and keep your skin looking young and radiant.

Skin exfoliation can be looked at as your body’s natural way of rejuvenating your skin. Your skin is a living organ. The Austin Aesthetics Medical Peel works with your skin to dramatically speed up your body’s production of new healthy skin cells. A series of four treatments can completely rebuild your skin in just six to eight weeks.

Austin Aesthetics Medical Peel

The Austin Aesthetics Medical Peel utilizes a concentration of peeling agents. This unique formula is considered a surface peel and addresses the outer layers of skin. The results include a healthy glow that lasts for several weeks. Repeat peels are necessary to maintain results and keep the skin exfoliated and healthy.

Surface peels are performed on an outpatient basis and no anesthesia is necessary. A series of superficial treatments will obtain good results without the downtime and pain associated with deep peels. After a surface peel, there may be some redness and some irritation, but there are no long-term effects, other than peeling of the surface layers of the skin with associated flaking for a few days.

Peels are most commonly performed on the face, and neck, although the chest, hands, arms, and legs can also be treated. By varying the amount of chemical applied, you can get different depths of peel while using the same chemical agent. A deep peel results in the regeneration of collagen, the protein that is a major component in the body’s connective tissue. A superficial peel can achieve good results with repeated applications.
